from hot and dry Calif, I send thanks and envy abounds..we do get them.. my favorite each year in our park.. a full ‘fairey circle’..I and my dog stand in the middle, thinking it must be good luck or something!..how to make spore prints?.. yours are lovely.. I love drawing the gills.. am afraid to pick them (some poison?) and i dont know.. so go and hand pick them from Whole Foods and draw them at home.. fell in love with a largish orange one..dragon? 29.90 a lb… did not buy it…. thanks again…sandra
Hi Sandra- I love the image of your dog in the fairy ring. My field guide said even poisonous mushrooms can be handled safely, it’s only ingesting them that is problematic. I can attest to that this week as there are many poisonous ones among my collection. So glad to hear you enjoyed seeing these.
